Domain Documentation

Registering a Domain

You can search for available domains, compare TLD pricing, and register directly through Sitequest. Domains are registered for one year and renew automatically unless cancelled.

Searching for a Domain

  1. Go to the domain search page
  2. Enter the domain name you want (e.g. example.com or just example)
  3. Results show availability, pricing, and premium status for matching TLDs

If you search without a TLD (e.g. just example), we check availability across popular extensions like .com, .net, .org, .de, .io, and others automatically.

Pricing

Each TLD has its own yearly pricing for registration, renewal, and transfer. Prices are displayed per year next to each search result.

Some domains are classified as premium by the registry and cost more than the standard TLD price. Premium domains are marked with a badge in the search results. The premium fee is shown before checkout so there are no surprises.

Registering a New Domain

  1. Find an available domain using the search
  2. Click Add to Cart
  3. Complete the checkout process
  4. Your domain is registered automatically after payment

We set up nameservers for you during registration. You can update them later in the domain settings if needed.

Contact Information

Every domain registration requires contact details (name, address, email) for the WHOIS database. We create the registration contact on your behalf using the information from your account.

To keep your personal details out of public WHOIS lookups, enable WHOIS Privacy after registration.

After Registration

Once your domain is registered, you can:

  • Configure DNS records — add A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, and other records in the Domains section of your dashboard
  • Enable WHOIS privacy — hide your contact details from public lookups
  • Enable transfer lock — prevent unauthorized transfers (enabled by default)
  • Update nameservers — point your domain to custom nameservers if needed

Your domain appears in the Domains section of your dashboard immediately after registration.

Renewal

Domains renew automatically before they expire. You can view the expiration date and renewal status in your domain settings. If you no longer need a domain, cancel auto-renewal before the next billing cycle to avoid charges.

Supported TLDs

We support a wide range of TLDs including generic extensions (.com, .net, .org, .info, .xyz), country-code extensions (.de, .uk, .us, .eu), and newer extensions (.io, .dev, .app, .co). Browse the full list with current pricing on the domain search page.
