Power Management
The dashboard gives you full control over your VPS power state. You can start, stop, and restart your server, and monitor its current status in real time.
Server Status
Your server's current state is displayed in the header of the VPS detail page. The status indicator shows one of two base states:
- Online — the server is running (green indicator)
- Offline — the server is powered off (red indicator)
During transitions the indicator changes to an animated spinner with the current operation name, such as "Booting" or "Shutting Down".
Opening Power Controls
- Open your VPS in the dashboard
- Click the Power button in the top-right corner of the header
A bottom sheet opens showing the available power actions for the current state.
Power Actions
Start
Available when the server is offline. Hold the Start VPS button for about 1.5 seconds to boot the server. The status immediately changes to "Booting" and switches to "Online" once the server has finished starting up.
Restart
Available when the server is online. Hold the Restart button to trigger a graceful reboot. The server shuts down and starts back up automatically. The status shows "Shutting Down" during the process.
Stop
Available when the server is online. Hold the Stop button to shut down the server. The status shows "Shutting Down" until the server is fully powered off, then switches to "Offline".
All power actions use a hold-to-confirm pattern — you need to press and hold the button rather than just clicking it. This prevents accidental shutdowns or restarts.
Task States
While certain operations are in progress, the dashboard displays a transitional status instead of Online or Offline. During these states, power actions are unavailable:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Booting | The server is starting up after a Start action |
| Shutting Down | The server is powering off or restarting |
| Installing | An OS reinstallation is in progress |
| Creating Backup | A snapshot is being created |
| Restoring Backup | A snapshot is being restored |
| Mounting HDD | Additional storage is being attached |
The status updates automatically in real time — you do not need to refresh the page. Once the operation completes, the status returns to Online or Offline and power actions become available again.
Notifications
After a power action completes, you receive a notification confirming the result. If you have push notifications enabled, you also receive a notification when the server finishes starting, stopping, or restarting — even if you have navigated away from the page.
Troubleshooting
Power actions are greyed out — a background operation is running (backup, reinstall, HDD mount). Wait for it to finish before using power controls.
"Power action failed" — the provider could not complete the request. This can happen during maintenance or connectivity issues. Wait a moment and try again.
Server stuck in a transitional state — if the status does not change back to Online or Offline after several minutes, try refreshing the page. If the issue persists, contact support.
